Members of the Clinton County Farm Bureau (CFB) Young Leader Committee recently delivered the first donation from their 2024 Farm Safety Grant program with a $1,700 donation to Breese Fire Protection District (FPD). A total of $3,000 was awarded to two (2) rural fire departments in Clinton County, in cooperation with a $700 “Farm Safety Grant” from the Illinois Farm Bureau and COUNTRY Financial.
With the donated funds, Breese FPD purchased a variety of Milwaukee battery-powered tools, lights, chargers, and a vacuum, in addition to assorted lengths of ropes for rescue harnesses and rigging.
Breese FPD was the first of two equipment grants to be awarded for 2024. An additional donation of $1,300 will be scheduled with Beckemeyer Fire Protection District once their equipment arrives.
