Yield Survey to be held September 6

Yield Survey to be held September 6

The Clinton County Farm Bureau (CFB) will host a Yield Survey Report meeting on Tuesday, September 6th in Breese.  Members of the Clinton CFB’s Marketing Committee will conduct the Fall Yield Survey of the county’s corn crop during the day, then the program will begin with dinner at 7:00 p.m. that night at the Farm Bureau office in Breese.

After dinner, Marketing Committee Chairman Cliff Schuette and others will report on their findings from the surveyed county fields earlier that day.  Teams of 2 to 3 will depart from the Farm Bureau office at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning to take representative yield checks from a minimum of 3 corn fields per township throughout the county.  Survey teams will then bring their reports back to the office to be compiled and presented that evening.

Tickets are $5.00 each and must be purchased in advance by contacting the Farm Bureau office at 526-7235.
