Clinton CFB Foundation Scholarships Available

The Clinton County Farm Bureau (CFB) Foundation is currently accepting scholarship applications from our member families.  The number and dollar amount of scholarships awarded each year varies depending upon the number of applications received and availability of funds.  In 2022, twenty-one (21) students received a total of $20,950 from scholarships ranging in value from $300 to $3,000.

Scholarships are open to graduating seniors and college students who have not yet received their undergraduate degree.  Past recipients may reapply, but no student may win more than two (2) scholarships from the Clinton CFB Foundation.

Detailed requirements are provided on our new online application, but scholarship applicants must be from a Clinton CFB member family (minimum 1 year), be a resident of Illinois, and be enrolled in an agriculture-related field of study.  New in 2023, the Foundation will also award one (1) $1,000 scholarship to a student pursuing a degree in nursing (in memory of Marie Krausz).

A link to the online scholarship application will be sent to guidance counselors and Ag teachers at every high school in the county, is available from the Clinton CFB website at www.clintoncofb.org, by contacting the Farm Bureau office at (618) 526-7235 or [email protected], or by direct link at: https://form.jotform.com/223393383073154 or by scanning the included QR code below.

Applications and supporting documentation must be submitted online by midnight on March 15, 2023.  Students will also be required to participate in an interview with the Scholarship Review Committee, which will be scheduled as part of the new online application process.

To-date, the Clinton CFB Foundation has awarded more than 500 ag-related scholarships (totaling more than $440,000), an additional $32,000 in specific Veterinarian scholarships, and over $75,000 in classroom grants for teachers.  As a 501(c)(3) charity, your donations to support our local efforts may be tax-deductible per IRS guidelines.
