2022 “Community Impact Grant” Recipient – Clover Crew 4-H

The goal of the Clinton County Farm Bureau’s 2nd annual “Community Impact Grant” program was to create partnerships with other groups and organizations for projects that would improve our communities.  For 2022, the Clinton County Farm Bureau (CFB) awarded a total of $5,000 to six (6) groups to assist with these types of community projects.  This edition’s featured recipient is the St. Rose Clover Crew 4-H Club.

The Clover Crew 4-H was awarded $800 to construct a Gaga Ball Court at the park in St. Rose.  The club discovered the new game at 4-H camp in 2021 and was excited to bring this fun activity to the youth of Clinton County.

Cheryl Timmermann said, “Our club came together and installed the boards of the Gaga Ball pit in early July, and throughout the summer it was a huge hit.  This has brought together children of all ages and kept them active.  Often following baseball games, both teams came together and played Gaga Ball…. they were no longer competitors as a team, but out for survival as an individual.”

2022 was the 2nd year for the Clinton CFB’s “Community Impact Grant Program”.  The grant program had a great response, receiving seven (7) applications that requested over $17,000 in funding.  The Clinton County Farm Bureau will be offering the “Community Impact Grants” again for 2023, with applications available online by March 1st and an April 30th deadline.
