14 Aug Farm Bureau Donates $3,000 to Clinton County CEO Program
The Clinton County Farm Bureau (CFB) became an “Investor” with the Clinton County CEO program at their August 10th Board meeting by committing up to $3,000 to the program over the next three years. Program Facilitator Cheryl Timmermann and Board Member Angie Wurtzler came to the August Clinton CFB meeting to explain a little more about the CEO program and accepted the first $1,000 installment before they left.
The Clinton County CEO, or Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities, is a year-long course designed to utilize partnerships that provide an overview of business development and processes. Local businesses partner with area schools to create project-based experiences for students by providing funding, expertise, meeting space, business tours, and one-on-one mentoring. Participating students meet every morning, five days a week to visit area businesses, learn from guest speakers, participate in a class business, write business plans, and start and operate their own businesses.
The Clinton CFB previously helped the CEO program by serving as a host site location for meetings in their inaugural year. Now that they’ve outgrown the available parking space, the Farm Bureau decided to further support the CEO program by contributing at the “Investor” sponsorship level, which is the $3,000 total investment ($1,000 increments over 3 years).
