The Clinton County Farm Bureau is awarding 36 first-year FFA members the “Gift of Blue” as part of their first FFA Jacket Essay Contest. The essay contest asked first-year Ag/FFA students a simple question, “Explain the main goal you wish to accomplish from being involved in FFA.” Thirty-six (36) students completed the essay. The Clinton County Farm Bureau awarded jackets to all 36 students, which included recipients from Carlyle, Central, Christ Our Rock, Mater Dei, and Wesclin FFA Chapters.
Winning students are as follows:
Carlyle FFA – Kyra Beckemeyer, Katelyn Davison, Karlie Gehrs, Brooke Kleiboeker, Audrey Rahm, and Maddy Rae Schomaker; Central FFA – Grace Henrichs and Caiden Litteken; CORLHS FFA – Evan Beal, Lily Cain, Loren Carpenter, Alivia Childress, Tommy Cox, Adriel Duensing, Peyton Jett, Jenson Langenhorst, Drew Lueking, Brandy Lyberger, Alijah Morris, Matthew Steinkamp, and Jaryn Stevenson; Mater Dei FFA – Olivia Book, Bradley Huelsmann, Owen Huelsmann, Addison Kampwerth, Alexis Kampwerth, Reid Koch, Carissa Litteken, Mitchell Mannhard, Carissa Rich, Maddy Roth, Jack Shelton, Lynn Shirley, and Connor Zurliene; and Wesclin FFA – Ava Brueggemann and Charles Brunker.
The contest was an opportunity for Clinton County High School agriculture students to have the Farm Bureau purchase their official FFA blue corduroy jacket. FFA Chapters will order the jackets this fall and be reimbursed by the Clinton County Farm Bureau.
