Clinton CFB Recognized as Central FFA Top Sponsor

The Clinton County Farm Bureau (CFB) was recognized at Breese Central FFA’s Annual Banquet on May 11th for their sponsorship contributions to the program throughout the year.

The Clinton CFB makes annual donations through the Illinois Foundation FFA, in addition to offering other sponsorships, contests, and activities for all the chapters in the county every year.  This year, however, the Farm Bureau is also offering sponsorship of Regenerative Ag 101 curriculum for each interested Ag program in the county.  “Regen Ag 101” is a virtual Soil Health Academy with curriculum that covers a range of topics presented by the Soil Health Academy’s world-renowned farmer/instructor team.  The best part is that each high school instructor will have control over the digital content to determine the best way to include the core principles into their current curriculum.  The Clinton CFB believes that resources provided through this course will be a valuable supplement to the curriculum already provided about agriculture in the county’s classrooms.

Finally, after an outstanding presentation to the Clinton CFB Board by Central staff and administration, the organization committed up to $45,000 toward Central’s new greenhouse project.  The energy and enthusiasm for agriculture and this project were infectious and it was very evident that the school was passionate about making this project happen.  The Clinton County Farm Bureau is excited to be able to help Central reach their goal and look forward to watching the greenhouse come to life.

The Clinton CFB appreciates the award from Central FFA.  We look forward to continuing to work with all the FFA Chapters and instructors in the county as they work to develop the next generation of leaders in the agriculture industry.
