Clinton CFB Awards $5,000 in Community Impact Grants

For the third year, the Clinton County Farm Bureau’s “Community Impact Grant” program sought to identify projects that would improve our communities and create partnerships with other groups and organizations to make them happen.  Participation for the grant program was down this year, only receiving three (3) applications that requested over $7,000 in funding.  With a total of $5,000 budgeted for the program, the Farm Bureau could only fund portions of many of the projects that were awarded this year.

Projects awarded grant funding for 2023 include:

  • Aviston Park District was awarded $2,800 for handicap upgrades at their park’s youth baseball, adult softball, and soccer facility. Project volunteers hope to continue to replace unlevel concrete around their facility and add a handicap-accessible bathroom.
  • Felicitas Parish was awarded $1,200 to help upgrade existing signage for the parish grounds and cemetery.
  • Aviston Elementary School was awarded $1,000 for recreational equipment for their S.O.A.R. (Students Offering All-Inclusive Recreation) after school activity club. The district plans to purchase indoor and outdoor equipment that is otherwise unable to be purchased with school funds.

Congratulations to all recipients of Clinton CFB’s 2023 “Community Impact Grant” program!  We appreciate the opportunity to work with great organizations and individuals on projects to improve our communities and look forward to seeing them make a difference.
