Mitchell Hora is an Iowa farmer on a mission to help family farms be price makers in the emerging sustainable ag space. Data is the key and Mitchell’s ag data company, Continuum Ag, is leading the way to ensure farms succeed with regenerative practice implementation at scale. Documentation and verification of regenerative farming practices will be crucial to garner economic returns in the supply chain. Learn how to best position your farm, use the soil health principles as offensive management tools, and set yourself up to be economically resilient and environmentally sustainable.
For several years, Clinton County Farm Bureau (CFB) has supported a multi-component cover crop and manure management project, evaluating soil health, nutrient use efficiency, return on investment, and more. The July 2023 field day is focused on getting producers out into the plot to see this year’s mixes and hear updates from the past year’s key findings and takeaways.
Join us to learn about the cover crop research taking place in Clinton County and receive information and considerations for producers who are interested in implementing cover crops and nutrient management strategies. Agricultural drone seeding and other equipment demos will also take place on-site, and the program will conclude with a panel discussion featuring Mitchell Hora, local farmers, and other project partners.
