Ag in the Classroom Activities

During the month of April, the first-grade students will be learning about all things Chicken. Mrs. Kleiboeker will be reading “Sonya’s Chickens” to the class and then the kids learn how to draw a chicken. During this lesson, the first graders learn about how the Comb and Waddle help to keep the chicken’s cool and the different food items that they eat. The book also discusses the circle of life and how chickens eat insects and worms and foxes eat chickens. The kids are enjoying learning about how interesting chickens can be.
