Members of the Clinton County Farm Bureau (CFB) Young Leader Committee recently delivered the first donation from their 2023 Farm Safety Grant program with a $1,200 donation to Sugar Creek Ambulance Service. A total of $2,200 was awarded to 2 county EMS providers, in cooperation with a $700 “Farm Safety Grant” from the Illinois Farm Bureau and COUNTRY Financial.
With the donated funds, Sugar Creek Ambulance Service said they purchased traction splints, pelvic binders, “stop the bleed” kits, tourniquets, hemostatic gauze, assorted extremity splints, and a Taylor soft stretcher for each ambulance. Sugar Creek EMS commented that they have already trained with the new equipment and it is currently in service.
Sugar Creek Ambulance Service was the first of two EMS equipment grants to be awarded for 2023. An additional donation will be scheduled with Breese EMS once their equipment arrives.
Clinton CFB Young Leaders Luke Buchmiller, Morgan Huelsmann, and Kali Michael present a $1,200 donation to Paramedic Bryan Holthaus and Operations Manager Jim Kniepman from Sugar Creek Ambulance Service.
