On March 27th, four (4) Clinton County FFA chapters participated in a “FFA Quiz Bowl” sponsored by the Clinton County Farm Bureau’s Young Leader Committee. held at Central High School in Breese hosted the event, which also included teams from Carlyle, Mater Dei, and Wesclin High School.
Students were asked multiple choice questions with four possible answers where they could buzz in with the correct answer to earn points for their team. The questions asked included subjects such as Agriculture Safety, Agriculture Mechanics, Animal Science, Crop Production, FFA, Natural Resources, and Agriculture Issues/Current Events.
In between competitions, teams also enjoyed pizza and drinks and had an opportunity to become more familiar with the Farm Bureau and the Young Leader Committee members. Prizes were awarded to students from the top three teams, but every participant and Advisor received t-shirts and other Farm Bureau freebies for participating.
Approximately 30 students competed this year, with each team competing in two preliminary rounds before three teams advanced to the finals. This year’s winning teams were: Carlyle Team # 1 (1st place), Central Team # 1 (2nd place), and Carlyle Team # 2 (3rd place).

Marshall Timmermann, Maecie Carrillon, Josie Muskopf, Caiden Litteken, and Cara Carrillon from Central FFA took 2nd place in the recent “FFA Quiz Bowl” sponsored by the Clinton CFB Young Leader Committee.
Audrey Rahm, Tanner Speiser, Hunter Rich, Nick Schomaker, and Cooper Diekemper from Carlyle FFA took 1st place in this year’s FFA Quiz Bowl at Central High School on March 27th.
