47 FFA Students receive “Gift of Blue”

The Clinton County Farm Bureau (CFB) is proud to award 47 FFA members the “Gift of Blue” through its 4th Annual FFA Jacket Essay Contest.
This year’s application asked Ag/FFA students a simple but meaningful question: “What is the main goal you wish to accomplish by being involved in FFA?”

A total of 48 students submitted essays, and the Clinton CFB awarded 47 official FFA jackets, representing all five high school districts in the county.

This contest provides Clinton County agriculture students the opportunity to have their iconic FFA blue corduroy jacket purchased by the Farm Bureau. Local FFA chapters will place jacket orders this fall and will be reimbursed by the Clinton CFB.

Over the four years of this program, the Clinton County Farm Bureau has awarded 175 jackets to local FFA members. With each jacket valued at approximately $60 (including shipping), the Farm Bureau has invested over $11,000 into supporting students through its “Gift of Blue” initiative.

Congratulations to all of this year’s recipients, and best of luck in your FFA journeys!
