“Adult Ag in the Classroom” Winter Workshop Series Returns!

We’re excited to announce the return of our popular Adult Ag in the Classroom winter workshop series — back and better than ever! Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned DIYer, these hands-on sessions are perfect for all skill levels and interests.

This year’s series will run October through March, featuring four unique and engaging workshops led by local experts and Farm Bureau staff. Each session is designed to be fun, educational, and interactive — plus, you’ll leave with your own handmade creation!

October – Sweater Pumpkins
Turn old sweaters into cozy fall décor! Join Susan Kleiboeker, Clinton County Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom Coordinator, as she guides you through creating at least three adorable pumpkins in varying sizes. Bring a worn-out sweater or use one of ours!

December – Holiday Porch Pot
Create a festive holiday pot to dress up your doorstep! Chris Lueking, Agriculture & Natural Resources Educator with University of Illinois Extension, will help you select a container and fill it with fresh evergreens, pinecones, berries, and seasonal accents. Bring a friend and enjoy double the holiday spirit!

February – Cake Decorating 101
Learn beginner-friendly cake decorating skills just in time for Valentine’s Day! Taught by Holly Diekemper, owner of The Diekemper Cakery, this class includes hands-on instruction and a take-home valentine-themed cake.

March – Spring Porch Rabbit Workshop
Paint and personalize your own 4-5 foot wooden rabbit in this creative spring-themed workshop. Add embellishments and color to make it uniquely yours! Led by Farm Bureau staff, this workshop is a perfect way to welcome spring.

All materials are provided for each session.

Proceeds benefit Clinton County’s Ag in the Classroom program, which brings monthly agricultural lessons to all 1st and 4th graders in Clinton County schools.

Registration is required. Details will be posted on our website www.clintoncofb.org and shared on our Facebook page.

We can’t wait to create with you this winter!
