CFB Foundation Awards Veterinary Scholarships

The Clinton County Farm Bureau Foundation has awarded veterinary scholarships to Morgan Berndsen of Breese and Carly Etter of Breese for the 2026–27 school year.

Both 2019 Mater Dei High School graduates are fourth-year veterinary students—Berndsen at the University of Missouri and Etter at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign College of Veterinary Medicine. Berndsen plans to return to the Clinton County area to practice large or mixed animal medicine, while Etter hopes to support livestock producers in Southern Illinois through food animal medicine, public health, and disease prevention.

Established in 2013, the Foundation’s veterinarian scholarship program supports students pursuing large animal medicine. To date, $46,500 has been awarded through the program.
