What began as a simple idea at a Clinton County Farm Bureau (CFB) board meeting has now grown into a tradition. On Saturday, September 13, 2025, the 2nd Annual “Pulling for Agriculture” Tractor Pull once again brought together an incredible community of sponsors, pullers, volunteers, and supporters — raising over $8,000 to grow the Clinton County Farm Bureau Foundation’s new Ag Mechanics Scholarship program.
This year’s event featured a full day of action at the Clinton County Fairgrounds, with two sleds and nine classes for the “King of Clinton County” Tractor Pull during the afternoon, followed by an evening ITPA Truck and Tractor Pull with seven classes. Spectators packed the stands to cheer on their favorite pullers, enjoy food and drinks, and celebrate agriculture.
The 2025 pull built on last year’s success with several exciting new features:
- “Kids’ Zone” & Pedal Tractor Pull — a fun-filled area designed just for kids, giving young attendees a chance to test out their own horsepower, play games, and experience the excitement of the pull in a family-friendly environment.
- “Battle of the Brands” Pedal Tractor Raffle, returning for its second year, with John Deere, Case IH, and Allis Chalmers fans vying for bragging rights.
- Expanded Concessions coordinated by local FFA chapters, with all proceeds supporting youth agricultural programs.
- Additional Pulling Classes by expanding the “King of Clinton County” pull from 5 to 9 classes during the day and the ITPA pull from 4 to 7 classes that night.
We extend our gratitude to the many sponsors who made this event possible, the planning committee for countless hours of preparation, our volunteers who kept things running smoothly, and the FFA members who stepped up to handle concessions. Most of all, thank you to everyone who came out to support agriculture and the next generation of ag mechanics!
With two successful pulls now in the books, “Pulling for Agriculture” is quickly becoming a signature event for Clinton County Farm Bureau. Funds raised will directly support scholarships and opportunities for students pursuing agricultural mechanics, helping ensure a strong future for our industry and community.
