Safety Grant awarded to Clin-Clair FPD

Members of the Clinton County Farm Bureau (CFB) Young Leader Committee recently awarded the final Equipment Grant in the amount of $250 to the Clin-Clair Fire Department. Funds were used to purchase a variety of agriculture related equipment to assist them and their teams at calls ranging from grain bin rescues, stabilizing farm equipment in rollovers, patient handling, and detecting propane and natural gas. With Clinton County being such an agricultural county, emergency personnel find these grant-purchased items to be beneficial assets to their departments. To date, the Clinton CFB Young Leaders have awarded $14,450 in grant funding through their FPD/EMS Grant Program. In cooperation with a $900 “Farm Safety Grant” from the Illinois Farm Bureau and COUNTRY Financial, seven grants were awarded ranging in value from $250 to $1,000, for a total of $3,500 in funding for 2025
