St. Rose Fire Department Awarded Safety Grant

The Clinton County Farm Bureau Young Leader Committee has awarded the third of its 2026 Equipment Grants to the St. Rose Fire Department.

Grant funds were used to purchase a Stihl Backpack Blower. The backpack blower will be used at brush fires in spaces that trucks aren’t able to get to.

The Equipment Grant Program helps local departments purchase agriculture-related emergency response equipment. With agriculture at the heart of Clinton County, the program helps ensure rural emergency responders are prepared for the unique challenges they may face on the farm.

A total of $2,950 in grant funding will be awarded through the program this year, including support from an $800 Farm Safety Grant provided by Illinois Farm Bureau and COUNTRY Financial.
