Summer Ag Tour Registration Open

Summer Ag Tour Registration Open

Teachers of all grade levels are invited to participate in the 2026 Clinton County Summer Ag Institute, a two-day, hands-on professional development opportunity focused on bringing agriculture into the classroom. The Institute will be held June 9 and 10.

The Summer Ag Institute provides educators with engaging, agriculture-based activities that can be easily implemented into math, science, English language arts, and social studies curriculum. Participants will learn directly from experts in the field of agriculture, hear from guest speakers representing Illinois commodity groups, and explore practical classroom resources.

Illinois Ag in the Classroom staff will showcase new, standards-based lessons designed to help educators connect agriculture to required learning benchmarks. Teachers will also spend time visiting local farms and agricultural businesses to gain real-world insight into the industry.

In addition to professional development, educators will enjoy time for collaboration, great food, and FREE classroom resources. Each participant will receive 16 continuing education credits. Attendance at both full days is required to earn credit hours.

Registration is limited to the first 12 teachers. The $65 registration fee includes lunch one day, take-home classroom resources, and additional materials. The registration fee must be paid in full by May 1 to secure participation. If a school is submitting payment, it must be received by the deadline. Any unpaid spots after May 1 will be removed from registration and offered to those on the waitlist.

Educators can complete the online registration form on the Clinton County Farm Bureau website or by scanning the QR code on promotional materials.
